The institute is named after its founder, Shri R Dayananda Sagar, best known for his role in setting up the Mahatma Gandhi Vidhya Peetha Education Trust in 1960, Sagar also played an important role in the education sector of emerging India. It is an autonomous institute affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.. B.E Programs
• For UG, The admission to college is through the entrance test / Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Karnataka Government & Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka / COMEDK. The students with meritorious ranking are considered for admissions.
• A pass in PUC/12th/10+2 or equivalent examination in the first attempt with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with English as one of the subject/language.
• A pass in PUC/12th/10+2 or equivalent examination with 45 % marks aggregate in Physics, Mathematics & any one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Biology / Computer science / Electronics.
• Candidates belongs to Karnataka SC, ST & other backward classes (Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B) the minimum marks for the eligibility will be 40% aggregate in the optional subjects.

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering conducted ENGINEERING CONCLAVE 2021 through virtual mode at DSCE Campus, across various departments, between August 5th-7th 2021. Department of Computer Science and Engineering, DSCE, scheduled the Industry Conclave on 7th of August 2021 at 3:30pm. The Industry Expert for the event was Mr. Prasanna D S, Manager-Programs Tata Consultancy Services. Dr. Ramesh Babu D R, Vice Principal, Prof & Head of the Department, CSE and other faculty members of department were present at the event.
Admission process of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering
The admission process at DSCE is through CET and COMEDK. The minimum requirement for Bachelor’s Degree (B.E) is pass in PUC / CBSE / ISCE /10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 45% marks aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics and English as a compulsory subject.
Admission Procedure
The admission process at DSCE is conducted through common tests that are conducted by state agencies and national agencies like CET and COMMED-K. It commences in the month of March every year and concludes on 31st July of the same year. The lateral entry (Diploma Quota) through CET is for 3rd semester and commences in the month of July/August.
