Internal exams for Class X boards of schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has come as a huge relief to students set to appear for the test. While those set to take Class X exams from state board or ICSE board were preparing day and night, the Class X students of CBSE schools are more relaxed than their peers.

Under the new system, students who wish to continue studying in their own school do not have to appear for an external board examination. On the other hand, the internal examination will be held like the regular examination of any other class.

However, despite the option of internal examinations, scoring well becomes almost imperative for students. If a student does not score good cumulative grade point average (CGPA), then even if they continue in their own school they will not be able to get admission in the subject of their interest.
