New Delhi, September 7, 2025 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rolled out an exciting new initiative to make board exams more inclusive for Children With Special Needs (CWSN). Starting September 9, 2025, schools can register eligible Class 10 and 12 students for the 2026 board exams through a dedicated CWSN portal on cbse.gov.in. This move is set to ensure that every student gets the support they need to shine in their exams!
What’s the Big Deal?
The new Pariksha Sangam portal is designed to make the exam process smoother and fairer for students with special needs. Schools can now easily request accommodations like extra time, scribes, large-font question papers, or assistive technology. Once registered, these facilities will automatically appear on students’ admit cards, ensuring exam centers are ready to provide the right support.
Key Dates to Mark
Registration Opens: September 9, 2025
Registration Closes: September 22, 2025 (11:59 PM)
How Schools Can Get Started
CBSE has made the process super simple for schools:
Log In: Access the Pariksha Sangam portal using existing CBSE credentials.
Identify Students: Mark eligible CWSN students in the List of Candidates (LOC).
Upload Documents: Submit medical or disability certificates as proof.
Select Accommodations: Choose the specific support each student needs, following CBSE’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Why This Matters
This portal is a game-changer for students, parents, and teachers. No more paperwork hassles or last-minute delays! By streamlining the process, CBSE ensures that students with special needs can focus on their studies without worrying about exam logistics. From extra time to special seating, every detail is covered to create a level playing field.
A Step Toward Inclusion
CBSE’s initiative reflects its commitment to inclusive education. “This portal is a big win for fairness,” says a CBSE official. “We want every student to have the chance to showcase their potential.” Parents and teachers are thrilled, with many calling it a much-needed step to empower differently-abled students.
What’s Next?
Schools are urged to act fast and complete registrations by September 22 to avoid missing out. For more details, head to cbse.gov.in and check the official notice. Let’s work together to make the 2026 board exams a success for every student!
Pro Tip for Schools: Double-check all documents and follow the SOPs to ensure a hassle-free experience. Parents, stay in touch with your school to confirm your child’s registration.
