The CBSE National Athletic Meet was hosted by the Velammal Vidhyashram, Surapet, Chennai, India recently. Eight athletes from ISM (Indian School Muscat) participated in this meet. Samantha Pinto (who also won a bronze medal in the 100 m race in the under 14 girls� category) from Class 8, Anakha Anil from Class 7, Anoushka Punja (who has the distinction of being the youngest ever girl athlete to win a medal) from Class 6 and Revathi Suresh Kumar from Class 8 quartet won the second place in the 4x100 meters relay race in under 14 girls� category.
This is the first time the school has won a medal in 100 m race and 4x100 meters, relay race in the girls� under 14 age group. The Indian School Muscat family has congratulated the medal winners and their coach, Johns Abraham, on this incredible achievement.
