From the next academic year, CBSE will release text books for its international curriculum, from classes one to ten. CBSE also going ahead with full momentum to set up the Gulf regional office.

So far the textbooks for international curriculum were not available in some subjects in some classes. From the next academic year, textbooks in all subjects will be available for classes one to ten.

The new regional centre of the CBSE will be set up in the UAE very soon.

There is already a nodal office in New Delhi to look after the affairs of the Gulf schools. The new regional office, expected to be set up in Dubai sometime this year, will help in addressing the specific needs of the schools in the region as well making the textbooks available on time.

CBSE schools in the Gulf region has grown in a big way in the last five years. It is also expected that CBSE will soon start the process of accreditation for all affiliated schools by sending inspection teams from India to the Gulf every five years.

Two officials from one of the 12 private agencies selected by the board and one CBSE observer will evaluate the school for two days, and their list of recommendations will be examined by the board.

CBSE had in 2012 announced the plan to accredit all the CBSE schools. The board has made it compulsory for all CBSE schools to get accredited. CBSE also had announced that schools that fail to receive an accreditation will be given one chance, failing which their affiliation will be revoked.
