Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited online applications for the Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship to the Single Girl Child who have passed class 10 from the School affiliated with CBSE. The scheme was started by the CBSE from the year 2006.
"From this year, schools are requested to process the application of their students as per guidelines issued for this scheme. Schools are requested to go through the guidelines of Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2021 available on CBSE website," according to the circular issued by CBSE.
Students must note that they can apply for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021 from December 27, to January 17, 2022. The board also instructed school heads to motivate eligible students to apply for this scheme. Under this scheme, single girl children who have passed class 10 from a CBSE-affiliated school and have secured 60% or more in class 10 examination and are studying Class XI & XII in School (affiliated with CBSE) whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year, shall be considered for the purpose. In the next two years, the total enhancement in tuition fee in such school shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per month.
The candidates may apply online for the single Girl Child Scholarship and the schools will be required to verify the application forms of the students of their school.
How to apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021?
Candidates may follow the steps mentioned below to submit application forms:
1. Go to the official website https://cbse.gov.in.
2. Now click on the Scholarship link. A new window would open up.
3. Click "Guidelines and Application Forms 2021/Apply Online".
4. Login with class x roll no and date of birth.
5. If the data is correct, student will be able to fill the form.
6. When all correct data entered by candidate, the form will be accepted and application number will be generated.
7. Student may print the confirmation page after final submission of the online application form.
8. Student can also check the status of application.
9. Students can also follow up with a school in the event that an application is being shown pending.
How to verify the student’s SGCSX Application by the school:
1. Schools can log in through the link provided at - cbse.gov.in/Scholarship
2. Click on the Scholarship link.
3. Click "Guidelines and Application Forms 2021/Apply Online".
4. Click on the School login.
5. School can login with their existing user id and password.
6. School can verify the single girl child information and her details.
7. If details are correct, school may verify the online application form for further processing in CBSE.
8. The status will also be visible to the applicant.
