December 12, 2013, 12:09 pm

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to organize Science Exhibition 2014 in the month of July next year at Regional as well as National level.

The CBSE has been taking many initiatives to provide interactive, participatory, hands-on, innovative and creative learning experiences to students studying in its affiliated schools. One such initiative is the organization of Science Exhibitions at Regional and National levels every year.
The activity aims at providing a common platform to schools, teachers and students to give shape to their innovative ideas and learn from each others experiences. These exhibitions also provide a medium for popularizing Science and increasing awareness among stakeholders about the close relationship between Science, Technology and Society.
The main objectives of the board behind organizing CBSE Science Exhibition 2014 are to promote interest in Science and Technology among the youth as well as to provide a forum for children to pursue their natural curiosity, innovation and inventiveness to quench their thirst for creativity.
Taking into consideration the enthusiastic response from participating schools in the past, it has again been decided to organize Science exhibitions for the year 2014. The main theme for this years exhibition is Scientific and Mathematical Innovations and sub-themes are Agriculture, Energy, Health, Environment, and Resources.
The CBSE Science Exhibition will be completed in two stages. The first stage of exhibition will be held at regional level at two/three different venues in every region. The Regional level exhibitions are likely to be organized in the month of April/ May 2014 and that at the National Level will be held in the month of July 2014.
From every regional level venue, fifteen best exhibits/schools will be selected to participate in the National level exhibition. The actual dates for the regional level exhibition will be communicated to every school as well as will be available on CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in by 15 March 2014.
Attractive awards/cash prizes are given to exhibits/students who present the best twenty models at the national level.
All schools willing to participate may register either online or offline by paying a registration/ participation fee of Rs 650/-\
The last date for registration for participation in the CBSE Science Exhibition 2014 is 31 January 2014.
