Students from CBSE affiliated schools are invited to submit artworks based on themes of education to be published in the CBSE annual planner for 2014.

The CBSE diary, for the second time, will be designed with innovative artworks of students from classes IX to XII. Schools have to send three entries to the board after receiving authentication from the principal, according to a statement from the board.

A special screening committee will filter the entries based on their distinctness in terms of colour, forms, lines, texture, space and organisation. The final four best entries will find their space in the CBSE diary. The artists will be acknowledged with ’commendation certificates.’

The statement said that the selected entries would become the property of the board and would not be used for any other purpose.

According to the CBSE, the initiative has been taken to include students in the planning process and encourage them to scout for their talents.
