CBSE has organized a two-day training programme for teachers

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has organized a two-day training programme for English teachers at Sir Padampat Singhania Education Center on Wednesday to help students acquire proficiency in english speaking and listening skills by the time they leave school, The workshop guided the English subject teachers to take oral examinations. More than 140 teachers of around 60 different schools of the city took part in the workshop.

CBSE in an effort to modify its assessment of language and oral skills among teachers will be organizing workshops in each city. The board had introduced the assessment of speaking and listening (ASL) skills previous year as a way to make the language and oral testing more detailed and at par with international testing standards.

ASL has been introduced in all CBSE-affiliated schools. This system is applicable to class IX and X as part of the continuous and comprehensive evaluation since 2012-13 academic session.

The CBSE coordinators praised the city teachers for their command in English, classroom management techniques, listening and speaking skills were also shared with the teachers during workshop. The teachers also cleared their doubts pertaining to the activity in the class room.
