The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a change in the schedule for the CTET December 2024 exam. As per the new dates, the exam will be held on December 14, 2024. In cities with a larger number of candidates, the exam may also be conducted on December 15, 2024.
This change comes after candidates raised concerns about a clash with other competitive exams scheduled for December 15. To accommodate these requests, CBSE has rescheduled the CTET exam to avoid conflicts.
Earlier, the exam was set for December 1, 2024, but it was first postponed to December 15. Now, after further adjustments, the new date is December 14, 2024.
Official Announcement:
According to the official update, CBSE has shifted the exam from December 15 to December 14 due to the overlapping of various competitive exams in several states. If necessary, the exam will still be held on December 15 for cities with higher candidate numbers.
Registration Still Open:
Registrations for the CTET 2024 exam are currently ongoing, and the deadline to apply is October 16, 2024. Candidates interested in appearing for the exam can visit the official website, ctet.nic.in, to complete their registration.
Application Fees:
For candidates from the General and OBC categories, the application fee is Rs. 1000 for Paper I or II, and Rs. 2000 for both Paper I and II. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, or Differently Abled categories, the fee is Rs. 500 for one paper, and Rs. 600 for both papers. Payment can be made online via debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Ensure you complete your registration and fee payment before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
