The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a reminder to schools seeking affiliation that they must submit specific documents, including land and building certificates, as outlined in the SARAS Manual 5.0.
Schools applying for new affiliation, upgradation, or extension are required to provide a land certificate issued within the past year and a building safety certificate that details the school’s infrastructure. These documents are essential for ensuring the school meets the necessary standards for CBSE affiliation.
The CBSE has also addressed concerns raised by schools regarding difficulties in obtaining land certificates from certain authorities, such as Urban Land Development Authorities. The board has clarified that schools operating on land allocated by these authorities can provide alternative proof of land ownership.
