XXII BIENNALE OF IMAGINATION 2016: International Art Contest

XXII Biennale of Imagination subtitled Fairy Tales, Myths, Legends is another instalment of an almost half-century-lasting project that presents artworks created by children and youth. Even though it has its roots in Slovakia, the competition lost its regional character a long time ago and became an international show of “children’s works of art”

Theme of the competition
FAIRY TALES, MYTHS, LEGENDS NUMBERS AND THEIR MAGICAL MEANING

The competition will be held in the following subjects
DRAWING PAINTING GRAPHICS PLASTIC ART, OBJECT PHOTOGRAPHY, FILM, COMPUTER GRAPHICS, ANIMATION

Age groups
UP TO 6 YEARS (OF AGE)
FROM 7 TO 9 YEARS
FROM 10 TO 13 YEARS
FROM 14 TO 18 YEARS

Formats of art works:
area maximum A2, objects 100 x 100 cm.
The art works older than 2 years will not be accepted.

Every entry must be provided with the following data on its back side
a) NAME OF ARTIST (ARTISTS IN CASE OF TEAMWORK)
b) AGE
c) SEX
d) PLACE OF RESIDENCE
e) TITLE OF THE WORK AND THE YEAR OF ITS COMPLETION
f ) NAME OF THE SCHOOL OR CULTURAL INSTITUTION, ADDRESS, PHONE, E-MAIL
g) TEACHER’S NAME
h) TECHNIQUE

All the texts, work designation and other correspondence must be written in Slovak, Czech or English. All entries will become property of organisers who will use them for study and exhibition purposes. Please, fix the art works created using pastels and charcoal.

Deadline for the competition entry FEBRUARY 29, 2016

Exhibition of the awarded works will be opened at the Turiec Gallery in Martin on May 13, 2016
