Kota Open University came into being in 1987. Situated in Kota, Rajasthan its jurisdiction prevail over the whole of Rajasthan.

Kota Open University Objectives

The objectives of the University include -

It has six regional centers in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota,Ajmer and Bikaner. Ita also has 33 study centers all over Rajasthan.

Kota Open University Admission Criteria

All citizens of India aged 18 years or above, are eligible for admission, though citizens of Rajasthan are preferred. Anybody who has passed the intermediate examination held by the Board of Intermediate Examination can get direct admission into the academic programs, while others have to qualify an entrance test to get admission.

Kota Open University Session: Registration usually begins in the months of November or December and the session starts next January.

Kota Open University Educational Material: Printed matter are sent by post to students. Audio/video matter can also accompany printed study material depending on the course. Practice material/ exercise kits are also supplied. Face-to-face interactive sessions are held according to the demands of the course.
