Example 8. Find the value of a and b for which the following system of equations has infinitely many solution; [2002 C, D]

Solution:-

For infinitely many solutions

Taking 1st and 3rd ratio

Taking last two retio

5b - 10 = -9

5b = -9 + 10 = 1

b = 1/5
