Common Admission Test CAT 2020
Eligibility: The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct a computer- based Common Admission Test 2020 (CAT 2020) on November 29, 2020 in two sessions.
Candidates applying for CAT 2020 should fulfill any one of the following conditions:
● Completed Bachelor�s degree with the required percentage of marks*.
● Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) with required percentage*.
● Should be in the final year of Bachelor�s degree with required percentage*.
*SC/ST/PwD candidates should have a minimum 45%. For General, EWS and NC-OBC
candidates, the minimum is 50%.
Application Procedure: PAYMENT OF CAT REGISTRATION FEE
₹1000 for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
₹2000 for all other candidates.
Please note that a candidate needs to pay the registration fee only once, irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for. SC, ST and PwD candidates must upload a copy of their SC/ST/PwD certificates at the time of registration. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
Examination Center: CAT will be conducted in test centres spread across around 156 test cities. Candidates will be given the option to select any six test cities in order of their preference.
Admission: Each IIM is independent to mandate their own eligibility criteria (including academic cut-offs and relative weights) and follow different selection processes. Performance in the CAT 2020 examination is an important component for consideration in the selection process. IIMs may also use the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short-listing of candidates at various stages of the selection process.
