CBSE to offer psychological counselling to help students from February 9

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will provide psychological counselling services over the phone to help students deal with exam-related stress. The pre-examination psychological counselling will begin from February 9, will be available through helplines and on the official website cbse.nic.in up to April 29 from 8:00 am to 10 pm. The Students can dial a toll free number 1800118004 from across the country.

This year, telephonic counselling will be offered by 90 principals and trained counsellors from CBSE affiliated government and private schools, few psychologists and special educators will participate in tele-counselling and address exam related psychological problems of the students. Of these, 68 are available in India while, 22 are abroad in Nepal, Japan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Al-Khobar, Jeddah), Sultanate of Oman, UAE (Dubai, Sharjah,Ras Al-Khaimah), Kuwait, Singapore and Qatar.
