CBSE Board Exam: Moderation policy to continue

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to continue with the moderation policy so that there is uniformity in the evaluation process but from now, the awarded grace marks will be mentioned in the mark sheets of students.

The inter-board working group headed by the chairman of CBSE, RK Chaturvedi had made the recommendations in a meeting on August 28.

CBSE will develop model sample question papers to ensure uniformity that there is an overall uniformity in the level of question papers for all school boards. These recommendations will now be sent to the Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry for adoption by states and implement these too. Students can get appropriate compensation in accordance with the level of difficulty of question papers and the overall evaluation process.
