CBSE 10th Result 2021 Announced: 99.04% Students Passed- 57, 824 Students Score Above 95%

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the class 10 results 2021 today at 12 pm. Students can check their results at cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.gov.in.

A total of 21,13,767 candidates registered for the CBSE class 10 exams, of which results of 20,97,128 students have been released. The results of 16,639 students are under process and dates of their result will be announced later. This year, CBSE records 99.04% pass percentage in class 10 results. This is a jump of over 8 percentage points from last year when 91.46% of students had passed the exams. Over 57,000 students secured above 95% in CBSE Class 10 results. This year, 2.76 per cent students scored more than 90% marks while a total of 57,824 registered above 95% and above mark in CBSE 10th Results 2021.

Students can now check their CBSE 10th results 2021 on oicial website cbseresults.nic.in.

Of the total 24,439 foreign students who had registered to appear for the CBSE Class 10 exam, a total of 24,420 have been declared pass in the Class 10 CBSE result. The foreign students have recorded a pass percentage of 99.92%

The CBSE has also released the region-wise pass percentage of students for Class 10. And, among regions, Trivandrum has the highest ever pass percentage with 99.99% pass percentage. It is followed closely by Bengaluru which has a 99.96% pass percentage and then Chennai. The total pass percentage of the Delhi region is 98.19%. In Pune, Ajmer, Panchkula, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal and Chandigarh, the pass percentage are -99.92%, 99.88%, 99.77%, 99.66%, 99.62%, 99.47% and 99.46% respectively.

According to gender-wise pass percentage girls performed better with a passing percentage of 99.24 whereas, boys secured 98.89 percent. For transgender students, however, the pass percentage was recorded at 100 percent.

To pass the CBSE board exam, students need to score an aggregate of 33% in 5 subjects. Students must also score a minimum of 33% in each subject to be promoted. In case a student fails in one of the 5 subjects, he/she can then appear for the compartment exam. Also, in case a student has opted for more than 5 subjects and has 33% in 5 subjects - then they will be promoted without compartment.

This year the CBSE board had canceled the Class 10 examinations in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and the result was prepared through an internal assessment system.

As many as 91.46 per cent of students had passed the exam in 2020. This was a slight increase from 2019 when 91.1 per cent of students could clear the class 10 board exams conducted by the CBSE. This was a huge leap from 88.67 per cent in 2018.
