CBSE increases answer sheet pages for Class X, XIIFebruary 17, 2007, 12:00 am Tweet
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has increased the number of pages in the main answer sheet for students appearing in class X and class XII examinations from this year onwards. The information to this effect was provided by CBSE chairman Ashok Ganguly recently at a Press conference.
While Class XII answersheets will have 48 pages instead of 40 at present, the answer sheets for class X will consist of 40 pages. Currently, the Class X answer sheet has only 32 pages.
According to CBSE chairman, move would not only save the precious time of the students during examination but also check fictitious coding of answer sheets. "Students invariably ask for supplementary sheets and this interrupts their concentration and writing flow. It also involves signing of supplementary sheets by invigilators which is time-consuming. The latest move would also ease pressure on the security officers who check for the fictitious coding of answer scripts. The lesser the number of additional sheets of paper, the chances of fictitious coding is also less," said CBSE Chairman Ashok Ganguly.
