The demand for CBSE syllabus is attributed to the growing awareness among parents that the Central Board syllabus gives their children a distinct edge while competing in national-level entrance exams which have become mandatory to get admission in professional courses.
Unlike in the past when parents in transferable jobs or those from other States would opt for CBSE, now the locally-settled parents too look to the Central Board.
