The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has now made changes in passing marks for the board examination.

“Among many recommendations made by the Inter-Board Working Group (IBWG), it was suggested that all boards in the country should have the same pass marks criteria,” said Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary of CISCE.

The pass mark percentage for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 has been reduced from 35 to 33 and for the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Class 12 from 40 to 35 per cent. The change will implemented from the academic session 2018-19.
