The Central Board of Secondary Education has recently announced that it will be holding the National Eligibility Test (NET) ) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship position or both in Indian universities and colleges on behalf of UGC on Dec 28, 2014.
CBSE will conduct NET in 79 subjects at 87 selected NET Coordinating Institutions spread across the country. NET for the June session was held on Sunday i.e. June 29.
UGC early this year decided to outsource NET (National Eligibility Test) to CBSE failing to conduct the test smoothly. UGC however will provide the necessary experts to prepare the question papers to CBSE. Over 33,000 candidates appeared for the examinations for the June session, results of which are yet to be announced.
