CBSE students fear over the delay in announcing re-checked marks

CBSE Class XII students from the Capital who had given their papers for rechecking fear that delay in the process will cause them to miss Delhi Universitys deadline of June 19 for the submission of forms.

Ive already bought the form but Im waiting for a change in my CBSE Class 12 marks. I cant even decide on course options till I get the marks because I will not be able to judge if Ill make the cut-off. I just hope it comes before the date the DU form submission closes. said a disgruntled student and DU hopeful.
The CBSEs Class 12 results were announced on May 27. Even students who had sent their papers for rechecking the very next day have not received the results yet.
CBSE officials conceded that the process was taking time but assured that all the students will get their rechecking result before DUs deadline. The process of rechecking is time consuming since a particular students answer sheet has to be searched among lakhs of copies. Further, to ensure accuracy, the paper checking happens at three levels. We are aware of the Delhi University admission deadline and are working to get all the rechecking results out as soon as possible but definitely by June 18, said a CBSE official.
