Amid reports of a recruitment drive being conducted on behalf of a ’CBSE staff selection board’, the CBSE on Thursday cautioned the public against getting duped by such a body.

"It is notified in public interest that CBSE does not have any board named as CBSE staff selection board and has no relation or responsibility regarding this recruitment," the board said in a statement.

CBSE’s Parashar writes that this course is intended to make students aware of the ways in which gender is taken for granted. She adds that it is also about how "gender is learnt, the implications of gender for our lives, and prospects for change insofar as men and women are able to combine and/or reject elements of traditional masculinity and femininity".
