Eligibility: The candidates who have passed the Matriculation or equivalent examination in Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English, provided that a candidate who has appeared for the qualifying examination, but whose result has not been declared shall be admitted provisionally to the Joint Entrance Test but his/her candidature shall be cancelled if he/she fails to qualify in the examination or fails to produce the proof of his having qualified at the time of counselling.

Such candidates will have no claim, whatsoever, with regard to the admission to any course.

b) FOUR YEAR DIPLOMA COURSE : Mechanical Engineering (Tool & Die)

Application Procedure: The JET Prospectus & Application Form can be obtained from the office of the Board or designated branches of Punjab National Bank or from the designated institutions as mentioned by making a payment of Rs. 250/- at the counter.

Candidates may obtain JET-Prospectus by post also by sending a demand draft of Rs. 300/- in favour of the "Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training" payable at Chandigarh, which should preferably reach the office of the Board atleast ten days before the last date of receipt of application form.


The candidate must write his/her name, father’s or mother’s name and address on the reverse of the bank draft. However, the Board shall not be responsible for any postal delay.

Any request made to the Bank/Institutions for supply of Prospectus by post shall not be entertained.

In case copies of JET-Prospectus are sold out before the last date at any of the places listed then the same may be obtained from the office of the Board at Chandigarh.

Cost of prospectus-cum-Application form:

At the Counter of the office of the Board or designated branches of Punjab National Bank or Institutions: Rs. 250/-

By Post with demand draft (to be received at the office of the Board atleast 10 days before the closing date): Rs. 300/-

Submission Of Application Form

The JET Application Form(also referred to as ICR Form) complete in all respects should be enclosed in the envelop supplied with the prospectus and deposited at a designated Bank branch.

The examination fee should be paid in cash @ Rs. 520/- (for General and other categories) and Rs. 260/- (for SC/ST) along with the application form in one of the bank branches of Punjab National Bank. In case the application form is sent by post/courier, it should be accompanied by Demand Draft of Rs.520/- (for General and other categories) and Rs. 260/- (for SC/ST) drawn in the favour of "Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training" payable at "Chandigarh".

Candidates are advised to submit the forms at the bank branches and get the required acknowledgement.

The candidates are advised to retain with them the photocopies of the filled Application Forms/Bank draft/ postal receipt/acknowledgement receipt.

Examination Center: Amritsar, Bathinda, Batala, Chandigarh, Faridkot, Fateh Garh Sahib, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Malout, Mansa, Moga, Muktsar, Nawanshehr, Pathankot, Patiala, Phagwara, Ropar, Sangrur, Patti, Fazilka, Ajitwal, Kot-Ise-Khan, Abohar.



Incase number of candidates opting for these places falls below 100, the examination centres shall be shifted to nearby district head quarters.
