IBPS Specialist Officer (IBPS SO VIII) Exam 2018
Eligibility: Nationality / Citizenship:
I. A candidate must be either -
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire,
Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.11.1988 and not later than 01.11.1998 (both dates inclusive)

* In case of dual specialisations, one of the fields of specialisation should be in the field prescribed. In case of major/ minor specialisations, major specialisation should be in the stream prescribed. Candidates having PG Degree (MM or MBA)/PG Diploma with more than two specialisations are not eligible to apply.
** Candidates should ensure that the educational qualification possessed by them shall be as per the prescribed educational qualifications mentioned in the advertisement and they fulfill the above eligibility criteria. No equivalent educational qualification shall be considered as eligible by IBPS or Participating Organisations. For posts other than IT Officer Scale I: Candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/ Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute.

Application Procedure: Follow the steps given below to fill the online application form of IBPS SO 2018:
Step 1: Click on NEW REGISTRATION button on the top most right corner of the home page
Step 2: Start your application process by providing the basic details such as name, contact number, email id, address etc. and click on save and next button.
Step 3:Upload your photograph and signature in the required format. The permissible size of the photograph must be 4.5 cm * 3.5 cm and the photograph must be of passport size. Both the photograph and the signature must be clear and legible.
Permissible file size of photograph is minimum 20 KB and maximum 50 KB, signature must be of minimum 10 KB and of maximum 20 KB.
Step 4: Next, fill in your academic details and professional qualification. Click on save and next button after filling in the details.
Step 5: Preview your application form one last time as you won’t be allowed to make any changes further. Click on save and next button after previewing your Application Form.
Step 6: Pay your Application Fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking Online Payment.
Application Fees/ Intimation Charges only Online payment shall be as follows
- Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
- Rs. 600 /- for all others
Step 7: Click on Final Submit Button. Your application form will be submitted successfully. You will be sent an email as well as a text message with your registration ID and password by IBPS for further login into the official website.
